Morning session: Full Panel for Mental Health Professionals, Lawyers and Judges

8:30-9:45     Old problems, New concepts – the evolution of our thinking    about parent-child contact problems. Social science literature.

9:45-10:00  break

10:00-12:00   How do these cases present to attorneys, judges and mental health professionals?  How lawyers and judges can help.

Child interview (video demonstration)

The challenges of the Child’s Voice in these cases.

12:00-1:00  Lunch

Afternoon session: Dr. Sullivan in depth for Mental Health Professionals

1:00-2:00     Interventions in child resistance cases: Structure of doing work: Court order or service agreement: balance, family systems, favored parent, fees, accountability for non-compliance.

2:00-2:30     Court-involved therapy – a specialized practice in high conflict shared custody.
